🔧 Built for Ottawa Garages

Auto Shop Uniforms
& Signage.

People choose a garage on trust, and they form that judgement in the first ten seconds — from the sign on the building, the state of the front counter and whether the person who greets them looks like they work there. All three are things you can fix cheaply.

The package

The auto shop package.

From the sign that gets people into the lot to the uniform that makes them comfortable handing over their keys.

👕
Shop work shirts

Durable work shirts and tees built for grease and repeated hot washes. Shop name across the back, and technician names on the chest — a named mechanic is a more accountable mechanic in a customer's mind.

🧥
Embroidered jackets & hoodies

Stitched logos on work jackets and heavyweight hoodies for bay doors open in February. Embroidery holds up where a print on a constantly-washed work garment eventually will not.

🏪
Shop & fascia signage

Exterior business signage so the shop is findable from the road. In an industrial strip where every unit looks identical, the sign is the entire difference between a walk-in and a drive-past.

🪟
Window graphics

Hours, services and phone number on the glass, plus frosted vinyl on the office window. Cheap, high-impact, and it works while you are closed.

🚗
Courtesy car & shuttle decals

Decals or magnets on loaner and shuttle vehicles. A courtesy car is a branded vehicle that drives itself around the neighbourhood all day, for free.

💼
Business cards & service reminders

Cards for the counter and reminder stickers for the windshield corner. The oil-change sticker is the single most effective retention tool in this trade and it costs almost nothing.

You don't have to take the whole package. Most customers start with one or two pieces and add the rest as they grow — tell us where you're starting and we'll quote just that.

What matters here

Trust is decided
at the counter.

Most customers cannot evaluate whether the repair was done well. So they judge everything else — how the shop looks, whether staff are in uniform, whether the paperwork looks professional. Presentation is not vanity in this trade; it is the only signal the customer can actually read.

  • Garments that survive grease and hot washes
  • Technician names for accountability
  • Signage that finds you in an industrial strip
  • Window graphics that sell while closed
  • Courtesy cars as moving advertising
  • Windshield reminders that drive rebookings
How ordering works

Uniforms wear out. Signs do not.

Shop shirts are a consumable — grease, solvents and hot washing mean you are reordering annually. Signage and window graphics are a one-time spend that keeps working. We keep both on file so the repeat order is trivial and the sign artwork is ready if you ever move units.

🧾
What it costs

Price depends on the product, quantity, decoration method, number of locations and any personalization. Every quote is free and itemized, so you can see which lever moves the number.

How fast

The clock starts when you approve the mockup, not when you first get in touch. Tell us your real in-hand date up front and we'll confirm whether it's achievable before you commit.

🔁
Reorders

We keep your artwork, colours and placement on file. A second batch matches the first, skips setup, and doesn't need re-quoting from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

What holds up best on mechanic work shirts?

Screen printing and DTF both bond into the fabric rather than sitting on the surface, so they survive grease, solvent exposure and repeated hot washing far better than heat-pressed vinyl. For jackets and outerwear, embroidery is the most durable option available — stitched thread has nothing to crack or lift.

Can we put technician names on the shirts?

Yes, and it is worth doing. A named technician reads as accountable to a customer handing over their car, and it makes the shop feel staffed by people rather than by interchangeable labour. Names can be embroidered or printed depending on the garment and how often you expect turnover.

Do you make exterior signage for the shop?

Yes — exterior business signs, fascia signage and dimensional lettering. The practical issue for most garages is that they are in an industrial strip where every unit is visually identical, so the sign is doing all the wayfinding work. Size and contrast matter more than cleverness there.

What should go on the shop windows?

Hours, main services and the phone number, at minimum — those are what people look for through the glass when you are closed. Frosted vinyl on the office window adds privacy without losing daylight. It is one of the cheapest changes with a visible effect on walk-ins.

Can you brand courtesy cars and shuttle vehicles?

Yes, with decals or removable magnets. Magnets suit vehicles you might sell on or that double as personal transport; permanent decals suit dedicated shuttle vehicles. Either way the vehicle is advertising in a neighbourhood you already serve. Ask about installation when you quote.

Do you print oil-change and service reminder stickers?

Yes — small windshield-corner stickers printed on durable stock. It is the highest-return item on this page relative to its cost, because it puts your phone number directly in the customer's line of sight for the next several months.

Is there a minimum order for shop shirts?

No hard minimum on DTF, so a single shirt for a new hire is fine. Screen printing starts around six pieces and is the better value when you are outfitting the whole shop at once.
