The vinyl matters

Most "wrap shops"
use the wrong vinyl.

There's a reason cheap quotes are cheap. Calendar vinyl looks identical to cast vinyl the day of install — and falls apart in 18 months under Ottawa winters. We use 3M IJ180Cv3 and Avery MPI 1105 because they're rated for the life of the vehicle, not the life of next summer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a full vehicle wrap cost?

On a standard sedan or SUV: $3,200–$4,500 including design, premium 3M / Avery vinyl, and professional install. Pickups run $3,800–$5,200 and cargo vans $4,200–$5,800. Partial wraps and decal packages cost much less — see our blog post for the full Ottawa pricing breakdown.

How long does a wrap last in Canadian winters?

On premium cast vinyl (3M IJ180Cv3 or Avery MPI 1105) installed properly: 5–7 years on a daily-driver in Ottawa weather, including salt, ice scrapers, and -30°C snaps. Cheaper calendar vinyl from budget shops can start lifting in 18 months. The vinyl grade matters more than almost anything else.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

Not on intact factory paint. Vinyl adhesive is designed to release cleanly when heated for removal. Wraps actually protect the paint underneath from minor scratches and UV fading. Risks: pre-existing rust or paint chips can be pulled off during removal, and DIY wraps on poorly cleaned surfaces can fail early.

How long does install take?

Vehicle is in our shop for 2–3 days for a full wrap. That includes wash & decontamination, trim removal where appropriate, the install (12–16 hours of skilled labour), post-install heat cure, and final inspection. Design and printing add 5–10 business days before install. Plan for 2–3 weeks total from approved artwork.

Can you remove a wrap when I sell the vehicle?

Yes — we offer wrap removal. Properly installed wraps come off cleanly with heat and patience. If the wrap is older than 5 years it can be more stubborn. Removal pricing is typically $300–$800 depending on vehicle size and wrap condition.
