Large orders: 50 shirts and up

Screen printing becomes the best value past roughly 24 to 50 pieces, so these five are the first calls for company events, schools, teams and staff shirts. Our guide to bulk t-shirt printing in Ottawa covers how a large run is planned.

YAYA Prints

That is us. We print in-house in Ottawa, and orders in the hundreds are usually screen printed and quoted directly. Every colour of the same garment in one order counts toward the same price break. A screen-printed t-shirt runs roughly $12–$18 CAD each at 50 pieces and drops under $10 each in the hundreds. Every order gets a free digital mockup and a human designer check before it goes to press.

yayaprints.ca

ASAPpm

Locally owned and operated since 1998, at 215 Terence Matthews Cres in Kanata. Screen printing, embroidery and promotional products. It publishes a 24-unit minimum on screen printing and a screen setup charge of $15 per colour.

asappm.com

Colortex

colortex.ca

Ottawa Custom Clothing

Wholesale screen printing and embroidery, on its shirts or yours. It advertises custom shirts from $5.25 plus tax with no set-up fees, and gives an average turnaround of 7–10 days including delivery, or 10–14 days for embroidery, with a rush program for tighter dates.

ottawacustomclothing.com

Ottawa Shirt Printing

Screen printing, DTF, DTG and embroidery, with $0 set-up fees and free local delivery across the city. It has no storefront to visit. Screen printing starts at 24 pieces, the typical turnaround is 2 weeks, and rush orders can be done in 3–5 business days.

One to five shirts

With a handful of shirts there is no point paying to set up a screen. DTF and DTG print full colour with no setup, so the first shirt costs about the same as the fifth. YAYA Prints and Ottawa Shirt Printing both print single shirts this way, and these four publish no minimum at all.

Print Culture

At 2350 Stevenage Dr, by appointment Monday to Friday, 10 to 5. Commercial-grade DTF and premium vinyl, no minimum, and a 48-hour rush.

How to compare quotes fairly

Two quotes only compare if they price the same job. Send every shop the same details:

  • The quantity, and a size breakdown if you have one.
  • The shirt brand, weight and colour, since a basic tee and a premium tee are different prices.
  • How many ink colours the design has, and where it goes: front, back, sleeve.
  • The date you need the shirts in hand.
  • A request for the total, including setup, tax, delivery and any 2XL and up charges.

Then ask each shop to show you a proof before printing, and read its most recent Google reviews, good and bad. Our Ottawa t-shirt cost guide explains what moves the price.

What an advertised price leaves out

A from price is a floor, not a quote. Advertised starting prices in this list run from $5.25 to $15.99 a shirt, and the sites do not all say which quantity, shirt or print that price assumes, so compare totals rather than headlines.

Setup is the other difference. Ottawa Custom Clothing and Ottawa Shirt Printing advertise no set-up fees, ASAPpm lists $15 per colour, and at YAYA Prints a one-time screen printing setup fee of about $20–$25 per colour is waived on larger runs.

Where YAYA Prints fits, and when to pick someone else

Choose us for a large order when you want one team to handle it from artwork to delivery: a free mockup on the actual product, a human designer check on every order, and a quote you can hold against the others. You can design it yourself in the free studio or send your logo for a quote. We print in-house in Ottawa and ship across Canada.

We are not the right pick for everyone:

  • If you want to walk in without calling first, visits to us are by appointment, so a shop with regular hours suits you better.
  • If you only care about the lowest advertised price, other shops advertise lower starting prices than ours. Get the total from each before you decide.
  • If you are a band or clothing label who wants a screen printing specialist, Red Diamond is built around that work.

How ordering works

Design it yourself. A human designer still checks every order.

Our free studio gives you the price and the mockup in the browser. What it doesn't do is print your file blindly β€” every order is reviewed by a real designer before it reaches the press.

  1. Step 1
    You design it β€” free

Upload your logo, drop it on a real garment, set the size and placement, pick colours and quantities. No account, no deposit, no waiting on a reply.

  2. Step 2
    A human designer checks it

Before anything prints, one of our designers opens your file and checks resolution, colours, sizing and placement. If it won't print well, we fix it or tell you exactly what's wrong β€” a person, not an automated preflight.

  3. Step 3
    You approve, then we print

You get the corrected mockup back on the actual product. Nothing goes to press until you say yes β€” then it's ready in 1–2 weeks, or in 1–3 business days with a rush.

Getting quotes for a large order?

Send your logo and quantity and we'll send back an exact price and a free mockup, usually the same business day.

Every order is reviewed by a human designer before it goes to press. A person checks artwork resolution, colour, sizing and placement, and either fixes the file or tells the customer what is wrong β€” it is not an automated preflight.
