Start a Label
Without a Warehouse.
The thing that kills most clothing brands is not the design — it is ordering three hundred units of an untested idea and discovering the sizing was wrong. Small-batch production lets you find out what sells before you commit the money.
What a label actually needs.
Not just the print on the front. The details that make a garment read as a brand rather than a printed blank.
Print five or five hundred. Full-colour DTF has no setup cost, so testing three designs at ten pieces each costs a fraction of committing to one design at three hundred — and tells you far more.
The single biggest upgrade from printed blank to real brand. Tagless printed neck labels replace the blank manufacturer's tag with yours — it is the first thing anyone checks when they pick up a garment.
Printed hang tags with your logo, sizing and care instructions. Cheap, and the difference between something that looks retail-ready and something that looks homemade at a market stall.
Stitched logos on caps, heavyweight hoodies and workwear-style pieces. Embroidery reads as more premium than print and supports a higher price point on the same blank.
Die-cut stickers to drop in every order, packaging seals and branded inserts. Stickers are the cheapest brand-building item that exists and people genuinely keep them.
Totes, caps and accessories to widen the range without widening the sizing problem. One-size items carry no inventory risk, which makes them the safest thing a new label can stock.
You don't have to take the whole package. Most customers start with one or two pieces and add the rest as they grow — tell us where you're starting and we'll quote just that.
Test the idea
before the inventory.
Every independent label makes the same mistake once: a large first order in an even size spread of a design nobody has bought yet. Small batches cost more per piece and vastly less in total, and the information you get back is worth more than the saving would have been.
- ✓No minimum on full-colour printing
- ✓Test several designs, scale the winner
- ✓Neck labels instead of blank tags
- ✓Hang tags for retail-ready presentation
- ✓Screen printing once volume justifies it
- ✓Artwork on file for every restock
Drop, learn, restock.
Labels do not place one order — they run drops. The useful setup is one where a restock of the design that sold is trivial and a new test batch is cheap. That means keeping artwork, blanks and placements on file from the first order.
Price depends on the product, quantity, decoration method, number of locations and any personalization. Every quote is free and itemized, so you can see which lever moves the number.
The clock starts when you approve the mockup, not when you first get in touch. Tell us your real in-hand date up front and we'll confirm whether it's achievable before you commit.
We keep your artwork, colours and placement on file. A second batch matches the first, skips setup, and doesn't need re-quoting from scratch.

Frequently asked questions
How many pieces do I need to order to start a clothing brand?
Fewer than you think. Full-colour DTF printing has no setup fee and no minimum, so a first drop of ten or twenty pieces across a couple of designs is entirely viable. The economics favour that strongly over a large first order — you learn which design and which sizes actually sell before committing money to inventory you might be sitting on in a year.
Can you put my own label in the neck instead of the blank's tag?
Yes — printed tagless neck labels, which replace the manufacturer's tag with your branding. It is the single most effective upgrade from looking like a printed blank to looking like a brand, and it is inexpensive relative to the impression it makes. Woven sew-in labels are a different process; ask if that is what you are after.
When should I switch from digital printing to screen printing?
When a specific design is selling in enough volume to justify the setup, and the artwork suits it — screen printing is dramatically cheaper per piece at quantity for a limited colour count. Until then, digital printing's zero setup cost is what lets you test cheaply. Most labels run both: digital for new designs, screen for proven sellers.
What blanks should I use?
It depends on the price point you want to sell at, and it is worth being honest with yourself about that first. Heavier, better-cut blanks cost more but support a higher retail price and feel like the product people expect from a brand. Cheap blanks with a great design still feel cheap when someone picks them up. Tell us your target retail price and we will suggest blanks that leave you a workable margin.
How do I decide what sizes to order?
For a first drop, weight toward the middle of the range rather than ordering an even spread — mediums and larges typically move fastest in most adult ranges, though your audience may differ. The advantage of a small first batch is that you get real data on your own customers instead of guessing, and your second order can be weighted properly.
Do you print hang tags and packaging as well?
Yes — hang tags, die-cut stickers, packaging seals and printed inserts. Getting these from the same place as the garments means one artwork conversation and consistent colour across everything, which is exactly the kind of detail that separates brands from side projects.
Can I reorder a design that sells out?
Yes, and we keep artwork, blank details and placement measurements on file so a restock matches the original drop. That consistency matters more for a clothing brand than almost any other customer we have — a restock that looks slightly different from the first run is a real problem for you in a way it is not for a work-shirt order.
