Age is enough to get started. Add a height and you'll get a much better answer — kids the same age can be four inches apart, and the shirt follows the body, not the birthday.

NB fits for a matter of weeks, and babies arrive at wildly different weights. For a group order, 6M is the smallest size worth stocking in quantity — order NB only when you know the specific baby.
A kids' shirt that's a little big gets worn for another year. One that's a little small is worn once. If a child is between two sizes, take the larger one.
Youth XL is cut for a 12-13 year old and is narrower than an adult small even where the length is close. Teens generally want the adult tee.
Expect roughly 3-5% shrinkage in length after a hot wash and dry on a cotton youth tee. That is one more reason to round up rather than down.
Sizes are the blank manufacturer's published body measurements and are approximate — kids vary, and cotton moves a little in the wash. If an exact fit matters (a team run, a gift), message us and we'll measure the actual garment before it goes on press.

Frequently asked questions
What sizes do your baby onesies come in?
Newborn (NB), 6M, 12M, 18M and 24M — five sizes covering birth to about two years. The chart on this page lists the height and weight range for each one, and the size finder will pick for you if you tell it the baby's age and weight.
What sizes are your youth t-shirts and hoodies?
XS through XL, which is roughly ages 4 to 13. Youth XS is the old 'youth 4', S is 6-8, M is 10-12, L is 14-16 and XL is 18-20. Above youth XL, an adult small is usually the better fit — youth XL is cut narrower than an adult small even where the lengths are close.
How do I know what size to order for my child?
Use the size finder on this page. Age alone gets you a reasonable answer; adding the child's height makes it much more reliable, because kids of the same age can be four inches apart. If a child falls between two sizes, order the larger one — cotton shrinks a little in the wash and a slightly big shirt gets worn for another year.
Can I order the same design in kids' and adult sizes?
Yes, and it's one of the most common things we do. The artwork is scaled to suit each garment so the print looks proportional on a 24M onesie and on an adult XL, rather than the same physical size on both.
Is there a minimum order for kids' clothing?
No. One onesie is a real order. The per-piece price drops as the quantity climbs — the volume brackets are the same shape as our adult apparel.
What colours do the kids' garments come in?
Seventeen: White, Black, Ballerina, Banana, Forest, Granite Heather, Heather, Hot Pink, Kelly, Light Blue, Natural, Navy, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red and Royal. All three kids' products share the same range, so a matching set actually matches.
Can you embroider a baby onesie?
We don't recommend it. Embroidery is stiff against a baby's skin and the backing needed to stabilize the stitching makes a lightweight bodysuit uncomfortable. Printing is the right call on infant sizes; embroidery is great on youth hoodies.
How long does a kids' apparel order take?
It depends on the decoration method and the size of the run. Send us the details and we'll give you a real date with the quote rather than a number off a website.
