How quickly can you get an order to Barrie?
Production is normally 2 to 5 business days once you've approved the mockup and paid, then 1 to 2 days by courier from Ottawa to Barrie. Rush is available on most apparel jobs if you're up against a tournament, a festival weekend or a new-hire start date. We don't promise a delivery date, because that last leg belongs to the courier. Tell us your in-hands date before you order, though, and we'll say plainly whether it's realistic. Getting artwork approved early does more for your timeline than anything else will.
Is there a Barrie shop I can walk into?
There isn't. YAYA Prints prints in Ottawa and ships to Barrie, and we'd rather tell you that than list a fake local address. In practice the whole job runs online: you send artwork, we send a free digital mockup on the actual product, you approve it, then we print and courier it. Nothing prints until you sign off, so you're never guessing about how it will look. It's all made in Ontario, so there's no cross-border customs hold. Can I order a small number of hoodies, like five for the crew?
Easily. DTF and DTG have no minimum at all, and we'll print one hoodie if that's what you need, so a five-piece crew order is straightforward. Screen printing is the one method with a floor, starting around 6 pieces, and it only starts paying off past roughly 24 to 50 where the setup cost spreads out. Embroidery is fine in small runs too, and it's usually the better call for workwear. Send the design and the number and we'll tell you which method makes sense rather than upselling you.
Will anyone check my file before it prints?
Yes, a person, every time. One of our designers reviews the artwork on every order, looking at resolution, colour, sizing and placement on the garment, then either fixes what's wrong or tells you exactly what the problem is and what would solve it. It is not an automated preflight check. Phone screenshots, website PNGs, PDFs and AI-generated images come in constantly and get cleaned up or redrawn as vector art. Whatever comes out of that review is what you see in your mockup, and you approve it before we print.
What's better for a construction crew, embroidery or printing?
For daily workwear, embroidery. Stitching on a left chest, sleeve or cap outlasts a print through repeated washing and rough use, and it reads as more finished on a polo, softshell or jacket. Printing wins when you need a large graphic, a hi-vis back with big lettering, or a low price on a lot of tees, with screen printing for volume and DTF for full colour in small numbers.
