Is there a YAYA Prints shop in Kitchener I can walk into?
No. Our shop is in Ottawa and that's where every shirt is printed, so there's nothing to walk into in Kitchener. We'd rather say that than list a mailbox address downtown and call it a location. It works out fine in practice: you send artwork and a quantity, we send back a free digital mockup on the actual product you picked, and once you approve it we print and courier it to you. How long does an order take to reach Kitchener?
Two to five business days in production once you've approved the mockup and paid, then another one or two days on the courier from Ottawa into Waterloo Region. Complicated jobs sit at the longer end: lots of ink colours, several garment types, or embroidery and printing on the same order. Rush is available on most apparel jobs. What we won't do is quote you a delivery date we can't stand behind, so tell us the date you actually need boxes in hand and we'll tell you honestly whether it's on before you pay a cent.
What's your minimum order?
There's no minimum on DTF or DTG. We'll print one shirt if one shirt is what you need, which is handy for a sample ahead of a bigger run or a single jersey for a new hire. Screen printing starts around six pieces because of the setup involved, and it gets genuinely good past roughly 24 to 50, where that setup spreads out and the per-shirt price drops hard. Embroidery works fine in small numbers and better in bulk. Tell us the quantity you have in mind and we'll point you at the method that suits it.
Our logo is a low-resolution JPEG from years ago. Can you still use it?
Usually, yes. Every order is reviewed by a human designer before it goes to press. A real person checks resolution, colour, sizing and placement, rather than an automated preflight throwing a generic warning. If the file is fixable we fix it. If it's too far gone we redraw it as vector art so the edges stay clean at any size. And if there's something genuinely wrong that we can't solve, we tell you exactly what it is instead of printing it and hoping. Phone screenshots, website PNGs, PDFs and AI-generated images all land in our inbox regularly.
What does a screen-printed tee actually cost?
Roughly 12 to 18 dollars a shirt at 50 pieces, and under 10 each once you're into the hundreds. Canadian, and it moves with the garment you choose, the number of ink colours and how many print locations you want. A one-colour chest print on a basic tee sits at the bottom of that range; a heavyweight hoodie with front and back prints sits well above it. We don't publish a fixed rate card because it would be wrong for half the people reading it. Send a quantity, a garment and the art and you'll get a real number back.
Can you embroider work shirts for a trades crew?
Yes, and it's a big share of what we send into Waterloo Region. Embroidery is the right call for work shirts, jackets, softshells and hats, because stitching survives washing and abrasion better than a print does. Company name on the left chest, a first name on the right, crew or department on the sleeve is the usual build. We digitise your logo for stitching first and show you a mockup on the actual garment before anything runs. Small crews are fine, so you don't need to order a hundred pieces.
