Custom T-Shirt Printing in Brampton: What It Costs and How Fast It Comes Back
Brampton orders shirts in bulk — trucking fleets, landscaping crews, cricket and soccer clubs, schools and family restaurants, mostly in the 50 to 250 band. Here's what that really costs, why a screen-printed tee drops under $10 in the hundreds, and how the 2–5 day production plus 1–2 day transit timeline actually works. Plus running names and numbers for a club, and reordering without starting over.
- Print methods
- Screen printing, DTF, DTG, embroidery and vinyl heat transfer — all under one roof, so a single order can mix tees, hoodies and polos.
- Typical cost
- Roughly $12–$18 CAD per screen-printed tee at 50 pieces, dropping under $10 each in the hundreds.
- Turnaround to Brampton
- 2–5 business days in production after you approve the mockup, then 1–2 days in transit. No walk-in pickup in Brampton.
- Minimum order
- None on DTF or DTG — we will print one shirt. Screen printing starts around 6 pieces.
- Artwork check
- A human designer reviews every order before it goes to press — resolution, colour, sizing and placement. Not an automated preflight.
- Design it yourself
- Free online studio at yayaprints.ca/mockup-creator — no account, no deposit, and the price updates as you build.
- Where it is printed
- In-house in Ottawa, Ontario, then shipped to Brampton. Printed in Ontario, so no customs holds or surprise duties.
Who actually orders custom shirts in Brampton
Brampton does not order shirts the way a downtown office does. The orders that come out of Peel are working orders, and they cluster into a handful of very recognisable shapes.
Trucking and logistics is the biggest one. Brampton sits on the 407 and the 410 with an enormous warehouse and dispatch footprint, and a yard with thirty drivers, ten dock staff and a dispatch office needs shirts that survive being worn four days a week. Those jobs almost always turn into a staff uniform program rather than a one-time print, because new hires keep arriving.
Construction and landscaping crews are the second. Same logic, harsher conditions, and usually a hi-vis requirement on top. A landscaping company running six trucks through a Brampton summer wants tees for the crew, a few hoodies for the cold mornings in April, and the same logo on all of it.
Then there is everything that makes Brampton feel like Brampton: community and cultural events at Chinguacousy Park and Gage Park, cricket and soccer clubs that need names and numbers on the back, schools doing grad shirts and spirit wear, and family restaurantsthat want ten shirts and ten aprons with a logo somebody drew on an iPad. All of those are normal orders. None of them require you to know anything about printing before you start — see our Brampton service page for the short version.
What custom shirts cost in Brampton, honestly
Anyone who answers this with one number is guessing. The price of a printed shirt moves with four things: which blank you picked, which method prints it, how many colours are in the art, and how many shirts you are ordering. Change any one and the number moves.
The useful anchor for a Brampton bulk order is this. A screen-printed tee runs roughly $12 to $18 each at 50 pieces, and it drops under $10 each once you are into the hundreds. That curve is the whole reason bulk exists: screens are burned and set up once, and every shirt after that divides the setup a little further. At 250 shirts the setup has effectively vanished into the run.

Full-colour DTF sits slightly higher per piece, but it carries no setup fee at all, so it wins outright on small runs and on anything with a gradient, a photograph or a twelve-colour crest. A cricket club logo with shading in it is a DTF job at 40 shirts and arguably still a DTF job at 100. We break the two methods down properly in DTF versus screen printing.
Two things that quietly move a quote: a second print location (a back print or a sleeve) and adding embroidery for hats or polos. Ask for the total with tax and every add-on included, from us or from anyone else. Every quote we give is free and comes with a mockup, so there is no cost to finding out. You can also just build it in the online studio and watch the price move as you change quantity.
How fast it comes back: 2–5 days plus 1–2 in transit
Here is the honest timeline for Brampton, and the part most shops leave vague. Production is 2 to 5 business days, counted from the moment you approve the mockup and pay — not from the moment you first send an email. Then the box leaves our Ottawa shop and typically arrives in the GTA in 1 to 2 days. So a realistic worst case on a normal bulk order is about a week from approval, and a good case is three or four days.
We are an Ottawa shop. There is no walk-in counter in Brampton, and we are not going to pretend otherwise or promise you same-day pickup on Queen Street. What we can promise is that the clock starts when you approve, and that nothing sits waiting for a subcontractor, because every press is in our building.
The thing that actually blows deadlines is almost never the press. It is the front half of the job: waiting on a logo file that someone has to dig out of an old email, waiting on a final size count from a team WhatsApp group, waiting for a committee to agree on navy versus black. The press is rarely the bottleneck. Getting to the point where a job can print is what eats the week.
So if your event is on the 20th, work backwards: approve artwork by roughly the 11th and you are comfortable. Rush is available on most apparel jobs — tell us the date up front and we will say plainly whether it is realistic rather than taking the order and hoping. If you want that conversation now, the quote form takes about a minute, or call 613-666-9292.
The 50–250 band: how to run a bulk order without chaos
Fifty to two hundred and fifty pieces is where crew, club and event orders tend to land, and it is the range where organisation matters more than anything technical. A few things make it go smoothly.
- Collect the size count before you ask for a quote.A real breakdown — 12 S, 40 M, 60 L, 45 XL, 18 2XL — makes the quote accurate and stops the order stalling later. 2XL and up usually carry a small upcharge from the blank supplier, so knowing your count avoids a surprise.
- Order roughly ten percent over. Somebody always gets missed, somebody always wants a bigger size, and a top-up run of eight shirts costs far more per piece than eight shirts inside the original run.
- Keep the design to one or two colours if you can. On a screen print each colour is another screen. A two-colour design across 200 shirts is dramatically cheaper than a five-colour one, and usually looks better on a tee anyway.
- Decide the garment before the artwork. Design for the shirt colour you actually chose. Black text disappears on a black shirt, and a design that relies on white showing through needs those parts to genuinely be white in the file.
- Mix garments under one logo. Tees for the crew, polos for the office and workwear for the yard can all carry the same mark. DTF treats all three identically.
If your run is spread across a few sites in Peel, the same logic applies in Mississauga and everywhere else we ship, and there is a wider walkthrough in bulk t-shirt printing across the GTA.
Team names and numbers for Brampton clubs
Brampton has a lot of organised sport, and cricket and soccer clubs generate a very specific kind of order: one crest, one sponsor block, and then twenty or thirty variations on the back because every player needs their own name and number.
That is a digital job, essentially always. With DTF, every back is a different file and costs the same as every other back, so twenty-two unique names do not cost twenty-two setups. Screen printing cannot do that economically, which is why the usual build is a screen-printed front crest paired with digital names and numbers on the back — or the whole thing in DTF if the run is small.

Send the roster as a plain spreadsheet with three columns: name, number, size. Not a screenshot of a group chat. Getting that one file right is genuinely the difference between a clean order and three days of back-and-forth. We wrote the whole process up in how to order team names and numbers, which covers roster formatting, number heights and what happens when two players want the same number.
If you want a proper team jersey rather than printed tees, that is a different product — see custom jerseys. For a club running a summer tournament on a budget, printed tees with names on the back are usually the right call, and you can lay one out yourself in the free mockup builder to see how the numbers sit before anyone commits.
A human looks at your file before it prints
This is the part we would most want a Brampton customer to know, because it is the part that stops bad orders from happening.
Every order is reviewed by a real designer before it goes to press. A person on our team opens your file and checks the resolution at the size it will actually print, checks the colours against the garment you chose, checks the sizing and the placement. If something is wrong, they either fix it or they tell you exactly what is wrong and why. It is not an automated preflight that spits out a warning code and moves on.
That matters because of what real artwork looks like. Most files that arrive here are not print-ready. They are a phone screenshot of a logo, a PNG pulled off a website at 300 pixels wide, a PDF a nephew made in 2019, or an AI-generated image with fuzzy edges. All of those are fine to send. We clean them up, or redraw them properly as vector artwork, and then we show you the result on a mockup before you pay a cent.
The practical effect is that you cannot accidentally buy 200 blurry shirts. Nothing prints until you have seen it and said yes, and someone who does this daily has looked at it first. If you want to send better files to begin with, preparing logo files for printing is a short read that saves a round trip.
Design it yourself, in the browser, for free
You do not have to email anyone to get started, and for a lot of Brampton orders that is the fastest route. Our free online design studio needs no account and no deposit. Open it, pick a garment and a colour, upload your logo, drag it where you want it, add text in print-quality fonts, set your sizes, and watch the price update as you go. When it looks right, order it online.
It is genuinely free to use, including if you never order. Plenty of people build a mockup at eleven at night just to see what a crew shirt would look like in charcoal instead of navy, screenshot it for the group chat, and come back a week later. That is a fine use of it.
The reason we push it rather than a phone call is that it removes the slowest part of the job. When you design in the browser, your artwork is already attached, your placement is already decided, and your size count is already entered — so the order arrives here complete instead of as an email thread. And the human check still happens afterwards, so self-serve does not mean nobody looks at it.
If you would rather have a person handle it, that is fine too. Send what you have to order@yayaprints.ca, call 613-666-9292, or use the free quote form. Both routes end at the same place: a free mockup on the real garment, before payment.
Reordering: the second run should be easier than the first
Most Brampton customers are not doing this once. A logistics company hires through the year. A landscaping crew loses shirts to a season. A club gets new players. A restaurant opens a second location. So the real question is not what the first order costs — it is what the fourth one costs in effort.
Once a design has run, the setup work is done: the artwork has been cleaned, the screens or the print file exist, the placement and sizing are on record, and the blank is documented. A reorder of the same shirt is a short conversation, not a fresh project. If you are running a staff uniform program, the pattern is worth setting up deliberately — we cover it in how to reorder company uniforms.
One piece of practical advice: write down the details somewhere you will find them. Blank brand and style number, garment colour, ink colours, print size in inches, print location. Six months later, "the same as last time" is a much stronger instruction when it comes with those five facts attached.
The other lever is batching. If you know you will need shirts in March and again in June, one 200-piece run is meaningfully cheaper per shirt than two 100-piece runs, because you pay the setup once. That is the single biggest saving available to a repeat buyer, and almost nobody uses it.
We are an Ottawa shop that ships to Brampton — why that works
Be clear-eyed about this. We print in-house in Ottawa, Ontario. Brampton is a shipping city for us, not a pickup city. If your only requirement is that you can drive somewhere this afternoon and collect a box, we are not the right answer and we would rather say so now than take the order.
For everything else, the trade is a good one. Because every press is in one building, nothing gets handed to a subcontractor and nothing goes into a queue we cannot see. When a job needs to move up, the press is down the hall. That is the actual mechanism behind a 2–5 day turnaround, and it is why you get a named person on your order instead of a ticket number.
It is also printed in Ontario, which matters more than people expect. Overseas fulfilment can look cheap and then land you with a customs hold, a duty bill, or a three-week window that nobody will tighten. Ontario to Ontario is 1 to 2 days in transit and no border in the middle of it.
What you get either way is the same: a free mockup before payment, a designer who actually checks the file, no minimum on DTF or DTG, and honest pricing on printed tees whether you need ten or two hundred and fifty. We work in English and French. You can drop your logo on a real shirt online if you already know what you want, or read up on the same process for Mississauga if your crew is spread across Peel.
Frequently asked questions
How much does custom t-shirt printing cost in Brampton?
It depends on the blank, the method, the number of colours and the quantity, so be careful with any single number. A realistic anchor for a bulk Brampton order: a screen-printed tee is roughly $12 to $18 each at 50 pieces and drops under $10 each once you are into the hundreds. Full-colour DTF sits a little higher per piece but has no setup fee at all, which makes it the better deal on smaller runs and on artwork with gradients or photos. Every quote is free and includes a mockup.
How long does it take to get custom shirts in Brampton?
Production is 2 to 5 business days, counted from the moment you approve the free mockup and pay — not from your first email. Shipping from our Ottawa shop to Brampton typically takes another 1 to 2 days. So plan on about a week from approval as a comfortable worst case. Rush is available on most apparel jobs; tell us your date up front and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic.
Do you have a shop in Brampton where I can pick up my order?
No. We are an Ottawa shop and Brampton is a shipping destination for us — free local pickup and delivery exist only around Ottawa and Gatineau. Everything else works remotely: design or send artwork, approve a free mockup, pay, and we print in-house and ship it to you in 1 to 2 days. If you specifically need to collect a box in person the same day, we are not the right fit and we would rather say that up front.
What is the minimum order for custom shirts in Brampton?
There is no minimum on DTF or DTG — we will genuinely print a single shirt, and the per-piece price does not jump because you only wanted one. Screen printing has a practical minimum of around 6 pieces, because screens have to be burned and set up regardless of how many shirts run through. Screen printing becomes the best value past roughly 24 to 50 pieces and keeps improving from there.
Will someone actually check my artwork before it prints?
Yes. Every order is reviewed by a human designer before it goes to press — a real person checks resolution at the printed size, colour against the garment you picked, sizing and placement. It is not an automated preflight. If your file has a problem we either fix it or tell you exactly what is wrong. Send a phone screenshot, a website PNG, a PDF or an AI-generated image; we clean it up or redraw it as vector art and show you the result on a mockup before you pay.
Can I design my own shirt online instead of emailing a shop?
Yes, and it is usually faster. The free studio at yayaprints.ca/mockup-creator needs no account and no deposit. Upload a logo, place it on a real garment, add text in print-quality fonts, choose colours and sizes, watch the price update as you go, and order online. Your artwork, placement and size count arrive with the order instead of living in an email thread — and a human designer still reviews the file afterwards.
Can you put player names and numbers on shirts for a Brampton club?
Yes. Names and numbers are a digital job — with DTF, every back is a different file and each one costs the same, so twenty-two unique names do not mean twenty-two setups. A common build is a screen-printed front crest with digital names and numbers on the back. Send the roster as a simple spreadsheet with name, number and size columns rather than a screenshot, and the order moves much faster.
Can I reorder the same shirts later without starting over?
Yes, and the second run is easier than the first. Once a design has run, the artwork is cleaned, the print file or screens exist, and the placement, sizing and blank are on record, so a reorder is a short conversation. Keep your own note of the blank style number, garment colour, ink colours, print size in inches and print location — that turns “the same as last time” into a precise instruction. Batching two runs into one also saves real money, since you pay the setup once.
Design it yourself. A human designer still checks every order.
Our free studio gives you the price and the mockup in the browser. What it doesn't do is print your file blindly — every order is reviewed by a real designer before it reaches the press.
- Step 1You design it — free
Upload your logo, drop it on a real garment, set the size and placement, pick colours and quantities. No account, no deposit, no waiting on a reply.
- Step 2A human designer checks it
Before anything prints, one of our designers opens your file and checks resolution, colours, sizing and placement. If it won't print well, we fix it or tell you exactly what's wrong — a person, not an automated preflight.
- Step 3You approve, then we print
You get the corrected mockup back on the actual product. Nothing goes to press until you say yes — and it ships in 2–5 business days.
