Sidewalk Signs That
Stop Foot Traffic.
Custom A-frames and sandwich boards for Ottawa storefronts, cafes, salons, and pop-ups — folded flat at close, out on the sidewalk at open. Printed both sides so walkers catch your message coming and going.

Built to live on the sidewalk.
Daily specials, brunch hours, and patio-open boards that pull people off the sidewalk. Pair a printed panel with a chalk or dry-erase insert you can rewrite every morning.
Put your name, hours, and offer at eye level right where people walk past. Ideal for shops set back from the street or tucked into a plaza.
Both panels print full-colour, so your sign reads from either direction of pedestrian traffic. Run the same artwork twice or a different message per side.
Outdoor-rated print on rigid substrate that handles Ottawa rain, road grit, and freeze-thaw. Wipe it down and it keeps working through the season.
Choose a frame that takes replaceable panels so you can update a promo without buying a new sign. Handy for menus, seasonal offers, and rotating events.
Portable boards for markets, festivals, open houses, and trade shows. They fold flat into a trunk and set up in seconds with no tools.

- 3We print and assemble
Panels are printed on outdoor-rated stock in our Ottawa shop and fitted to the frame you picked, so the board arrives ready to open.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an A-frame and a sandwich board?
They are two names for the same thing — a hinged, two-panel sign that stands on its own in an A shape. Some people say sandwich board when the panels are chalk or dry-erase and A-frame when the panels are printed. We build either, and you can mix a printed panel on one side with a writable one on the other.
Will it blow over on a windy Ottawa street?
That depends on the frame. Frames with a water-fillable or sand-fillable base stay put far better than a bare plastic frame, and a heavier metal frame helps too. Tell us where the sign will sit — an exposed corner near Bank or Wellington needs more ballast than a sheltered doorway.
Can I change the message without buying a new sign?
Yes. Insert-style frames let you slide printed panels in and out, so you can keep one frame and order new panels whenever a promo changes. A chalk or dry-erase panel is the simplest option if the message changes daily.
How much text should go on the sign?
Less than you think. People read a sidewalk sign in a couple of seconds while walking, so aim for a bold headline, one supporting line, and your name or logo. We will flag anything in your mockup that is too small to read from the sidewalk.
Do I need a permit to put a sign on the sidewalk in Ottawa?
Placement on public sidewalks is governed by the City of Ottawa, and the rules differ depending on the street and whether the sign sits on private property or the right of way. Check with the City or your BIA before you set it out. We print the sign — we cannot approve where it goes.
How much does an A-frame sign cost?
It depends on the frame type, the panel material, and whether you want one side or both printed. Extra panel sets and laminate change the number too. Send your quantity and what you have in mind and we will come back with an exact quote alongside your free mockup.
